By 2028, a unified EU registry will track every certified unit.
Project developers — from farmers implementing agroforestry to biochar producers to DACCS operators — face a brand-new compliance stack: methodology-specific MRV (Measurement, Reporting, Verification), EU registry submission, additionality documentation, permanence monitoring, and biodiversity co-benefit tracking (mandatory for carbon farming). There's no turnkey software to handle this. Current tools are either built for Verra/Gold Standard's older voluntary frameworks or are enterprise-grade solutions priced for large corporations.
