The Problem

Autonomous ride-hailing creates a new infrastructure problem:

not can the vehicle drive there?

but can the city, airport, or venue operate the pickup, dropoff, closure, event, and curbside logic around it?

That problem includes:

• approved pickup/dropoff zones by operator and time window;
• temporary closures for events, works, and emergencies;
• airport and venue access rules;
• handoff points between public roads and managed property;
• surface-street hazards and poor road quality;
• neighborhood-level communications between fleets and local authorities.
