MoradaGuia — Neighborhood Intelligence Directory for Portuguese Cities

The Problem

Every year, 200,000+ people face the question: "Where should I live in Portugal?" This includes:

• Expats and digital nomads (50K+/year) — relocating from US, UK, Brazil, Germany. They read 30 blog posts, watch 20 YouTube videos, and still don't know if Alfama or Campo de Ourique is right for them.
• Portuguese internal movers (100K+/year) — changing cities for work, university, or family. They rely on word-of-mouth.
• Property investors (20K+/year) — buying rental properties and needing neighborhood-level data on yields, demand, and tenant profiles.

The current "solutions" are:

• Blog posts: Scattered, outdated, subjective. "Top 10 Neighborhoods in Lisbon" articles are written by SEO agencies, not locals. No structured data.
• Idealista/Imovirtual: Show property listings but zero neighborhood intelligence. You can see apartments in Arroios but not whether Arroios suits your lifestyle.
• Facebook groups: Expat groups are noisy, repetitive ("where should I live?" asked 5x/week), and answers are anecdotal.
• Relocation agencies: Charge €1,000-€5,000 for what is essentially curated neighborhood advice + apartment hunting.

There is no Niche.com (US), StreetAdvisor (UK), or Numbeo (global but superficial) equivalent built specifically for Portugal with neighborhood-level granularity.
