Millions of European SMBs are about to slam into a wall. Starting January 2026, Belgium mandates B2B eInvoicing via Peppol. Poland follows in February. France in September. Germany requires receiving capability already and issuing by 2027-2028. Croatia, Latvia, Romania — all in 2026.
Most SMBs still send invoices as PDFs attached to emails. They don't know what Peppol is. They don't understand EN 16931 or UBL 2.1 format requirements. Their accountants might, but the software they use often doesn't support it natively.
